Pelicans

As the oldest members of the school, our goal for our Pelicans is to extend language and social interaction skills, while introducing pre-academic skills. With this group, there is a strong focus on language development through oral interactions and comprehension with activities that are longer in duration and more challenging. Children will work on their pre-writing skills with a variety of activities that will strengthen their fine motor skills.​

Pelicans are encouraged to be more independent in peer conflict resolution, problem solving, and completing tasks and responsibilities within the group and independently. Children are encouraged to answer the “why” questions as their brain develops even more and can understand more complex situations. The independence they build as Pelicans will help prepare them for Kindergarten and onward.
